We’ve got the winner of Celebrity Big Brother 2024 – big shoutout to David Potts! They announced it earlier tonight, Friday, March 22. But get this – even though David took home the title, he won’t be getting any cash prize.
At the start, there were 13 celebs in the house, but by the final on Friday, only five were left: Louis Walsh, David Potts, Colson Smith, Fern Britton, and Nikita Kuzmin. Nikita got second place, Colson came in third, Louis got fourth, and Fern landed fifth.
As Nikita and David waited nervously for the results, you could see David’s shock when they declared him the winner of this year’s series. But here’s the kicker – despite his win, the Ibiza Weekender star won’t actually be getting any cash prize.

Instead, the prize money goes to a charity picked by the winner, which is honestly pretty cool. Even though they don’t get any cash for winning, just being on Celebrity Big Brother bags them a hefty paycheck.
We still don’t know how much the stars of the 2024 series are getting paid, but past contestants have scored hundreds of thousands of pounds just for being in the house. When hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best announced David as the winner, he was totally overwhelmed.
“Thanks, everyone,” he said. “Man, I can’t believe this.”
Before the big reveal, each finalist talked about their time on the show. David Potts said, “I honestly didn’t think I’d vibe with all 12 of you this much. Thanks for letting me be me. Love you guys.” Nikita chimed in, “I didn’t expect to have so much fun. I just wanted to be myself, and it’s awesome that people liked me for that.
Louis told everyone, Well, here we are, the fab five… I had no clue what I was getting into, but dang, it’s been a ride. You’ve all been amazing.” Colson shared, “This whole thing is nothing without the people. It taught me to believe in myself, be kind to myself, and just be me.” And Fern added, “Thanks for being so nice to me as the last woman standing. Let the best man win!”
